GAITHERSBURG FINE ART FESTIVAL

Location: The Washingtonian Center, Gaithersburg, Maryland

The Gaithersburg Fine Art Festival is held at the Washingtonian Center (aka: The Rio) in Gaithersburg, Maryland.  Located adjacent to the District of Columbia, Montgomery County is the most populated and affluent county in Maryland. The Washingtonian Center combines with the Waterfront and Rio Entertainment Center to create a 530,000 sq ft venue of retail stores and restaurants.  Residential communities developed nearby such as The Crossing attract high-end clientele.  During summer, free concerts are held at the Waterfront of the Washingtonian Center. Median household income for residents of Montgomery County is $106,000 as of the 2007 census. A combination of great demographics and a spectacular shopping and entertainment venue combine to create the foundation for a great art festival.
